Eddie Pless served in numerous positions over 28 years in Elizabethton City Schools and is a 1977 graduate of Elizabethton High School. Currently, he is working as a Recruiter for Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Elizabethton.

At ECS, he has been Athletic Director; Director of Curriculum & Testing 6-12, and Data Services; CTE Director; Principal; Assistant Principal; Director of Early Learning; and a teacher in Elizabethton City Schools.

Both of his children are graduates of EHS, and his wife teaches 2nd grade at West Side Elementary.

Jamie Bass Schaff graduated from EHS in 1982 and attended ETSU. Jamie is married to Mark Schaff and has three children, David Lyons(Bri Lyons) Kelly Lyons and Christofer Schaff, and a grandson Fynnlee Lyons. All three of her children attended and graduated from Elizabethton City school. She is an active member of First Baptist Church, a Praise Team member,  also leads the Children's Choir. She organizes two yearly Benefit Concerts for Recovery Soldier and Isaiah 117 House. She was an employee of the Elizabethton School system for 14 years. She began her career as a substitute teacher for two years and then served as a 5th-grade teaching assistant for seven years at HME. In the last five years as an employee, she was the Secretary at Harold McCormick Elementary. Jamie's mother, Wanda Bass, was a teacher at EHS for many years until her death in 1991. Jamie's sister, Beth Deloach, is currently a second-grade teacher at Harold McCormick Elementary.

Phil Isaacs joined the Board in 2013 after years of service in other school organizations. Both of his daughters are alumni of Elizabethton High School. He was also involved with parent/teacher organizations when his daughters were in elementary school, and continued involvement through participation in athletic booster clubs at the middle and high school levels.

Danny O'Quinn has spent his career in education – both in Elizabethton City Schools and at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Elizabethton. He began teaching in 2000 in Carter County Schools, then spent the next ten years in ECS as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal of both Elizabethton High School and T. A. Dugger Jr. High School. He currently serves as Vice President of TCAT Elizabethton and has been in this role since 2011.

He holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University, a Teacher Certification in History 6-12 from Milligan College, and a Bachelor of Science in History from East Tennessee State University.

He has four children who are currently enrolled in ECS including three in high school and one in junior high. All four are active in extracurricular activities including soccer, softball, band and jazz band. His wife teaches in the system and serves on the EHS Band Boosters Board.

O’Quinn was elected in 2018 and will up for reelection in 2022.

Mike Wilson is married to his wife, Lori Lyons Wilson, for over 25 years. They have three sons – Stephen, Eric, and Nicholas. His first five years of teaching were at Colonial Heights Middle School, where he taught History and coached girls basketball and track. He also taught at Vance Junior High in Bristol. The following year he was hired in the Elizabethton City School system, where he taught History, coached basketball and track.
He eventually became the Athletic Director at EHS. Mike Wilson has lived in Elizabethton longer than anywhere else in his life and loves Elizabethton.

Hannah McCoy

Title: Student Liaison

Hannah McCoy is a Senior at Elizabethton High School. She is actively involved in HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) as the 2023-2024 President, Women's Ensemble, SGA, NHS, Science Bowl, and Debate Club. She also participates in a variety of activities at her church, Christian Life Center of Kingsport. Hannah is excited to be afforded the opportunity to create positive change in her school.
