2018-19 Student Registration Information & Dates

Parents of current Elizabethton students, new students, and prospective tuition students should be aware of some important upcoming dates. This information is available at www.ecschools.net > Parents > Student Registration.

Wandell Early Learning Center Registration

WELC Registration will take place at East Side Elementary on Friday, April 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Placement (80 available spaces) is based on income eligibility, and priority is also given to students with special needs. Please bring to registration an official birth certificate, social security card, TN Certificate of immunization showing a current physical exam, two proofs of residence for City of Elizabethton, and proof of household income or public assistance. Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration dates are listed below, with a break for lunch from 11:30 – 12:30 in which registration will not take place. If parents would like their child to attend a different Elizabethton elementary school than the school for which he or she is zoned, they should reference information related to out-of-zone requests below. These students should still attend kindergarten registration at their zoned school. Required documentation for kindergarten registration is available online.

  • Harold McCormick: Friday, April 20, 8:00 – 3:00
  • East Side Elementary: Monday, April 2, 8:00 – 3:00
  • West Side Elementary: Monday, April 16, 8:00 – 3:00

New Tuition & Out-of-Zone Requests

The online application “Cyclone Connection” for new tuition applications and out-of-zone requests (not for returning tuition or returning out-of-zone students) will open on Thursday, April 19 at 8 a.m. The application will remain open until mid-August; however, parents wishing to know their child’s place in line prior to the first half day of school (Aug. 9) must apply by Thursday, May 3 at 4 p.m.

Applications will be organized based on the order in which they are received and based on the Priority Order. Tuition fees are available on the Student Registration webpage, and online monthly payment is now available.

High School Registration

High School registration is currently taking place during school hours for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The Counseling Office expects to have all students registered by April 13. Registration for rising freshmen will take place after school hours every Thursday night in April. Rising freshmen and their parents should attend registration according to the table below.

Documents to bring to registration appointment:

  1. The completed Purple Registration Form
  2. Proofs of Residency - The ONLY proofs of residency that will be accepted are: property tax records, mortgage documents or property deed, apartment or home lease agreement, or utility bills (water, electric, gas).
  3. Custodial documents
  4. Also your student’s current T. A. Dugger file must have their Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, and Current Immunization form (this is to be on a TN form for high school).
