Press Release:
January 28, 2021
Virtual Days and 4-Day Schedule
- First, due to a large number of school system staff who are scheduled to receive their 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine early next week, all schools and students will be virtual next Tuesday and Wednesday, February 2nd and 3rd. This change applies to all students at every school. On Tuesday, lunches will be available for pickup at each school for all children ages 0-18 from 9:30 – 10:00 AM. On Wednesday, lunches will be available for pickup at all schools at this same time in addition to the regularly schedule bus delivery sites around town.
- Again, next Tuesday and Wednesday, February 2nd and 3rd, ALL students will attend school virtually.
- The second announcement is that beginning Thursday, February 4, all students in grades 6-12 will return to school on the same 4-days per week schedule that was implemented prior to Christmas break. This means that all ECS students on the Traditional Learning Track, should attend school in person next Thursday, February 4, and Friday, February 5, and then resume in-person learning on a 4-day schedule the following week. Wednesdays will remain virtual days for all students for the foreseeable future. These changes do not impact those students on the Distance Learning Track. Should any other changes become necessary, we will communicate those to you as soon as possible.
- Again, effective Thursday, February 4, all ECS students on the Traditional Learning Track, will resume attending school in person on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays, and Fridays. Wednesdays will remain virtual days for all students.
If you have questions about the school schedule or lunch pickups, please contact the office at your child’s school.
