Students have greater access to career opportunities following graduation thanks to partnerships between First Tennessee Development District, Elizabethton City Schools, ACT, and regional businesses. Seniors that have met certain criteria can now receive a Work Ethic Diploma upon graduation, as well as a seal on their high school diplomas. There are 14 standards that students can meet to earn 20 credits. Those with a Work Ethic Diploma are guaranteed an interview with participating regional businesses. Participating businesses range from healthcare to manufacturing and engineering. Students, talk to your school counselors about how to meet the criteria to earn this honor.
