On April 18, Elizabethton High School FFA students placed 4th in the NCRS Envirothon Competition. They were tested on their knowledge of forestry, wildlife, aquatics, soils and a current agricultural issue.
Team members included Nathan Batchelder, Camie Isaacs, Cheyenne Bowers, Emma Honeycutt, Maddie Jaynes and Heather Estep. Honeycutt and Isaacs placed the highest out of everyone competing in their respective contest focus areas.
"I am proud of this team for managing their second contest in four days and proud of Emma Honeycutt for competing in her first FFA competition," said Carrie Lykins, club advisor and agriculture instructor.
