Kira Dillard led off the bottom of the sixth with a double to left field. Autumn Hensley followed suit by lacing a single to put Lady Cyclones at second and third after taking advantage of a poor throw from the Lady Longhorn left fielder.
Lady Cyclone catcher Haley Fair lofted a sacrifice fly that plated Dillard to make it a 1-1 contest.
With two outs and a Torrie Roberts at third running for Hensley, Kallista Deprimo took a 2-2 pitch and promptly deposited it over the center field fence for a two-run home run that gave the Lady Cyclones their first lead at 3-1.
For good measure, Marley Wagner followed Deprimo with a solo shot of her own to center field as well to give her team all the cushion they would need.
Hensley led ‘Betsy at the dish with a 2-for-3 performance. Dillard, Fair, Deprimo, and Wagner accounted for the remaining six hits for Elizabethton in the game.
Senior Hannah Edwards went the full seven innings from the pitching circle allowing only three hits to the Lady ‘Horns while striking out three and walking two Johnson Co. batters.
Miller and Cornett had the only two hits in the game for the Lady ‘Horns.

Elizabethton didn’t wait in game two to jump out front as the Lady Cyclones playing as the visiting team in the second game of the doubleheader scored two runs in the top of the first and added two more in the top of the second inning to stake themselves to a 4-0 lead that they wouldn’t give up.
The Lady Cyclones added a solo run in the fourth inning and closed out in style by flipping the scoreboard six times in the top of the seventh inning in a 15-hit attack.
Freshman Madisun Pritchard, who returned to the lineup after tweaking a knee last week, was in a groove as she would allow only five hits to the Lady Longhorns in the contest while shutting the Mountain City team out.
Pritchard received plenty of offensive support from her team as Autumn Hensley led the attack with four hits in four plate appearances.
Maddie O’Quinn, Haley Fair, Marley Wagner, and Pritchard added two hits apiece in the win while Kallista Deprimo, Kira Dillard, and Maggie Johnson also had one hit respectively.
Pritchard struck out one Lady ‘Horn batter and issued three walks in the complete game.
