EHS Position:
Instructional Technology Coordinator

Education/Teaching/Career Background:
I received my degree from ETSU, have taught at East Side Elementary for the past 10 yrs. Before that, I was a teacher with Kingsport City Schools. Also worked with the Dobyns-Bennett HS Marching band 2000-2011 and our State Champion "Betsy Band" 2012-present.

What would students be surprised to find out about you?
I am a Stormtrooper with the 501st Legion, which is an international Star Wars costuming charity organization. I make replica costumes as seen in the Star Wars films. We help raise money for children's charities such as Make a Wish, St. Jude's, etc. I even make concert appearances in costume with Weird Al Yankovic from time to time.
If you could take students on a field trip anywhere in the world, where would it be?
How do you show your Cyclone spirit?
Keep my closet stocked with plenty of orange and black

If you could pass on any words of wisdom to students right now, what would it be?
“Find your passion, something you love to do, then find a way to make a living doing that and you will never "work" a day in your life.”
