This is a great opportunity for parents who want to work while their children are in school and be home when their children are at home. The rate of pay is $8.47per hour.
Before you can work, you must complete an application online (go to ecschools.net, click on the employment tab, then “Online Employment Application” and follow the instructions listed there). If you do not have access to a computer, one is available at our Central Office that you may use. Before you can work, you must have a physical completed (at your expense) by a licensed medical provider and have a background check. There is a $35.15 charge for the background check. You can pay with a money order, credit card or debit card. After you submit your application online, you will need to come to our Central Office located at 804 South Watauga Avenue, Elizabethton, Tennessee, to pick up the required paperwork and pay for the background check. We will need to make a copy of your driver license and social security card when you bring the completed paperwork back.
Being a substitute cook is an excellent opportunity for you to see if School Nutrition is something you enjoy and would like to pursue. Permanent employment has been offered to and accepted by many of our substitute cooks.
