Nine students were selected as winners in the recent East TN Tuff Tales competition led by Mrs. Sarah Morris' T. A. Dugger Jr. High enrichment students. The students wrote about their struggles and trials and how they have triumphed over them to help them become better and stronger people. They each created a barn quilt piece that will be painted and displayed downtown in December.
Tohugh there were originally supposed to be eight winners, the judges in the system-wide contest selected nine because they were floored by the quality of work. The award ceremony took place downtown at Blue River Studios.
Congratulations to all winners!
